Earning for Learning 2008 Official Rules & Regulations:
1. Customers must present receipts to Guest Services (in the mall office) from any store or restaurant at Eastland Mall. Qualifying receipts are on purchases made from 8/18/08 – 9/30/08 ONLY, and MUST BE FROM a retailer at Eastland Mall.
2. Mondays & Tuesdays are Double Points Days. A purchase must be made on a Monday or Tuesday to be eligible for double points; receipts that are turned in on Mondays & Tuesdays from purchases made on any other day are not eligible for double points.
3. Purchase of Eastland Mall Gift Cards (Gold, Platinum & Buckeye) earn triple points. New gift card purchases only; purchase of gift cards using an existing Eastland Mall gift card as payment do not qualify for points. Customers may receive points for Gift Card purchases made on www.eastland-mall.com as long as receipt/order confirmation is provided.
4. Receipts may only be used one time and will be stamped when presented to Guest Services. The receipt must be the original copy. Duplicate receipts, photo copies, faxes and internet orders will not be accepted. All receipts must be redeemed by 9pm on September 30, 2008.
5. Purchase of faxes, photo copies and stroller rentals cannot be redeemed for points.
6. Receipts from Polaris Fashion Place, or any other Glimcher property running the Earning for Learning promotion, cannot be turned in to earn points at Eastland Mall (and vise versa).
7. Each dollar spent equals 1 point. Anything less than $.50 will be rounded down to the nearest dollar, and anything equal to or greater than $.50 will be rounded up to the nearest dollar (Ex. $10.45 = 10 points and $10.56 = 11 points). Double points will be given if the purchase was made on a Monday or Tuesday and the receipt indicates as such.
8. The highest dollar per student ratio will determine the winning schools. The total number of points for each school is divided by the number of students enrolled in the school. Enrollment numbers will be provided by the county school board or school official. All schools, regardless of actual enrollment will start with a minimum enrollment number of 400 students.
9. The tote board in the common area of the mall will be updated weekly with the top 10 leading schools according to points only. These rankings are for informational purposes only and may not reflect the point per student ratio of the schools.
10. Any public or private K-12, elementary, middle or high school in the state of Ohio is eligible to participate. Pre-schools, colleges and other post-high school institutions are not eligible.
11. At the end of the promotion- the top 5 schools with the highest point per student ratio will win cash prizes: 1st $10,000; 2nd $5,000; 3rd $2,500; 4th $1,500 and 5th $1,000. Winning schools will be notified via phone and/or letter to the administration office by October 8, 2008.
12. The Eastland Mall Marketing Department reserves the right to refuse suspicious or fraudulent receipts and will make the final decision regarding any dispute.
13. Eastland Mall reserves the right to modify these rules at any time without prior notice.
