Eastland Mall to host “America’s Next Top Model” Casting Call
Columbus, Ohio (July 8, 2008) -- Eastland Mall will be hosting the next “America’s Next Top Model” casting call on Thursday, July 17 beginning at 2pm.
“America’s Next Top Model” is the hit reality series hosted by Tyra Banks that gives everyday people across the country the opportunity to compete for the coveted grand prize including a modeling contract and having the dream of a lifetime come true.
During the nationwide search, approximately nine to fourteen top contenders will be selected for the series. Over a period of several weeks, participants will go through extensive training in the modeling field to learn about fashion, runway skills, physical fitness and publicity. During this entire time, participants will live under one roof that is equipped with cameras and microphones to record their every move, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The top contenders will then be evaluated on a regular basis by an elite panel of judges who will narrow the field week-to-week until one lucky winner is chosen.
“Eastland Mall is so excited to be partnering with WWHO-TV to bring this rare opportunity to the women of Columbus,” said Kristie Holmes, marketing director for Eastland Mall. “This will be the only casting call in Columbus this year. Loyal viewers of the series know that a model from Columbus competed on the show last year, and we hope that the judges find the next top model at Eastland Mall!”
Participants must be female, between the ages of 18 and 27, at least 5’7” in height, a United States citizen and live in the United States. There is no weight requirement and no prior modeling experience is preferred.
Before the event, participants must go online to wwhotv.com or eastland-mall.com, click the link to read the complete eligibility requirements and complete and sign the application.
Each participant must bring her completed and signed application and three pictures to the open call event as stated in the eligibility requirements. Extra applications will be provided at the event.
Casting call directors will videotape each participant for a maximum of three minutes. The participant will be asked to introduce herself and tell the casting call director why she thinks she should be “America’s Next Top Model.”
The casting call will begin promptly at 2 p.m. near American Eagle Outfitters and Hibbett Sports at Eastland Mall. The casting call ends at 7 p.m. and the line will be cut off to get as many participants through the casting call before 7 p.m. The chance to audition is not guaranteed and applicants standing in line may be turned away. If an applicant is turned away, she may send her application and a home video directly to the CW Network via cwtv.com.
